The bar graph compares data on students’ favorite subjects in middle school A and middle school B.

Overall, the student preferences of both schools differed greatly, although pupils from both schools greatly favored either sport or the arts over math and science.

Overwhelmingly, the students of school A loved sports (71%) the most, as all the other subjects paled in comparison. Their other preferred subjects were science (18%) and mathematics (12%), whose combined percentages were nowhere near sports. Literature followed at 10%, while only 8% of the pupils in school A were interested in drawing.

As for school B, students seemed to favor the arts more since drawing and literature were the classes they enjoyed the most, garnering votes of 50% and 37%, respectively. Said percentages were at least three times higher than the percentages of school A. Math was school B’s third preferred subject with 20%, nearly double that of students in school A. Furthermore, unlike school A, the students of school B did not appreciate sports very much, with only 10% claiming it was a favorite subject, although it still ranked higher than their love of science (4%).
