The diagram shows how smoked fish is produced. There are 12 steps in the making process.
First, all the fish are captured by net in the sea and loaded to fishing boats which later take all the fish to the port. Next, they are kept in a freezing container and after a while they are thawed in the fresh water. All the fish then are taken out of the water and they are to be cut open. The cut pieces are kept in a container where there is a mixture of salt water and yellow coloring material. Smoking all the fish on a special type of machine is the following step. Afterwards, all the smoked fish are packaged in boxes and then stored in a freezer in which the temperature is freezing point. After the freezing step, the fish are moved to cold storing containers which then are transported by truck to fish shops where the fish are sold to customers.
