The pie graphs illustrate the electrical usage of selected industries in the years 1995 and 2005.
Overall, in both years, the manufacturing and food sectors consistently accounted for the largest share of electrical consumption among the given industries.
In the first graph, the manufacturing industry utilized electricity the most at 33%, possibly because of all the machinery involved in this industry. This was followed by the food industry and fisheries, which consumed 24% and 20% of the electricity produced, respectively. Household electricity consumption came next with 15%, half that of the manufacturing sector, whereas the service sector just used 8% of the available energy.
A decade later, however, there were slight changes to electrical usage. Manufacturing (31%) and food (21%) companies still required a lot of power to run their businesses, though the percentages of both industries declined slightly. But there was a change-up in the third and fourth spots as households became the third biggest consumer with 20%, followed by the service sector whose percentage of 15% was nearly twice than before. The fishing industry was now the sector that used electricity the least with 13%, a seven percent decrease.
