You live near a recreation ground. A local school often brings pupils to the recreation ground to do sports, such as football and cricket, but recently this has caused some problems.
Write a letter to the head of the school. In your letter:
Dear Sir or Madam, I have been a resident of our community for the past five years. Although I understand the need for the local students to use the recreation ground, the noise has gotten out of hand, which is why I write. I live next to the recreation ground, which is generally vacant throughout the week. This makes it ideal for my work at home as a freelance web developer. Before, your students only used the recreation ground twice a week in the morning. But now, the classes are held multiple times a week and nearly the whole day. While I do not want to deprive students of their fun, the constant racket is very bothersome to myself and the other neighbors. Since we in the community are used to the twice-a-week setup, please return to the former arrangement. I am sure there are many other physical activities students can happily do on campus. Again, I am all for student fun, but it should not be something that regularly disturbs residents. Sincerely yours, Derek Wong
