3. Explain how it impacts your life
Dear Mr. Davis,
I am writing with regard to the planned closure of Northdale Sports Center.
I was attending the ‘Early Bird’ swimming session this morning as usual, when I saw the notice on the reception desk. I was so shocked that the local council has decided to close the center in a week!
I have to admit that I am extremely disappointed and frustrated, both about the fact that the center will be closing and also the way in which this matter has been handled. I find it hard to believe that the center is not profitable, as the only complaint I have is that it is always busy. I think that the local council should reconsider the decision. At the very least they owe us a clear explanation.
I have been a local resident for many years and, along with many other people in the neighborhood, I use the center several times a week. We have come to depend on it for our exercise and entertainment and it will have a major impact on our well-being if we are forced to find an alternative.
I trust that you will give this matter your consideration.
Yours sincerely,
