两个城镇发展

The maps display the development of Meadowside village and the town of Fonton over the years. The images portray the changes in 1962, 1985, and today.

Overall, the areas around and within Meadowside and Fonton have progressed over the decades. Meadowside has become a suburb with many facilities as it merged with its neighbor.

In 1962, Meadowside was a village, roughly one-third the size of its neighboring town of Fonton. There was a road going through Meadowside, whereas a railway passed through Fonton. Both locations were separated by undeveloped land.

By 1985, Meadowside village tripled in size, while Fonton nearly doubled its area. The small road had widened, and it now connected the two places. Newer amenities were built in Meadowside, namely a leisure complex in the northeast and a superstore in the southwest. There was also a housing estate in the west.

Today, Meadowside has evolved into a much larger suburb. The space between it and Fonton has vastly improved, joining them together. A train station is at the center of this developed area, linked to the tracks passing through Fonton. To the north of the station is a large hotel, while towards the south is a business park.
